Fall Festival Chorus celebrates 50th anniversary with concerts
The Fall Festival Chorus is celebrating its 50th anniversary with four concerts.The chorus, under the direction of Roland Hill, is made up of church choir members from the Akron area. Its musical repertoire includes Gregorian chant, baroque, renaissance, classical and contemporary.The concerts will be presented Oct. 16 at Suffield United Church of Christ, 1115 State Route 43, Suffield Township; Oct. 23 at Advent Lutheran Church, 1516 Edison St. NW, Lake Township; Oct. 30 at First Christian Church, 2253 Third St., Cuyahoga Falls; and Nov. 6 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main St., Akron. The first half of each concert has a religious theme and the second includes a West Side Story medley, boogie-woogie and doo-wop.
